The Ta’awunu Human Rights Initiative is an Human Rights Organization registered in Nigeria by the Corporate Affairs Commission guided by the rule of law, doctrine of Equity and good conscience. The organization saddled upon herself the fight against oppression as well as violation of Human and people’s rights in accordance with the provision of fundamental Human Rights of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended, The African Charter on Human and People’s rights, the United Nations declaration of Human Rights; the Quran and Sunnah (in accordance to the principle of Islamic Law) for those who submitted to it.
The Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023 empowered registered Mediation Group to hear matters that normally can be settle out of court in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Alternative Dispute Resolution is recognized by the National Judicial Council and the Nigerian Bar Association as a means to minimize multiplicity of cases especially personal and civil matters such as Marital Discord, Debt recovery, Civil trespass and Land matters amongst others.
